Beyond Fashion: The Three Key Components of Personal Style for Men
Personal style was something I became passionate about when I got old enough to discover specific realities of society. I believe that the way we present ourselves to the world has a significant impact on how we are perceived by others. But it's not just about the clothes we wear or the accessories we choose. Developing a good personal style requires a combination of physical fitness, personal hygiene, and attractive behavior.
I've always been someone who values physical fitness. Being heavily involved in sport growing up naturally translated to wanting to continue working on my body later in life. Being physically fit also gives me confidence and energy, which I know translates to other areas of my life, including my personal style.
Being in good physical shape makes clothes more comfortable. I know that a well-tailored suit or a fitted shirt will always look better on a toned physique. This is something that most men should strive for when possible.
Hygiene is an essential aspect of personal style. Maintaining good personal hygiene not only keeps us healthy but also makes us feel confident and comfortable in our own skin. It shows that we care about ourselves and respect those around us.
Personal hygiene includes taking regular showers, brushing our teeth, and wearing clean clothes. It also means keeping our nails trimmed and clean, washing our hair regularly, and using deodorant. These simple practices can have a significant impact on our overall appearance and confidence. I believe there is a stigma in specific male communities that carries on in regards to hygiene. It is not feminine to have good personal hygiene in a world where the hardest thing many people will do in a given day is climb a flight of stairs to the office.
Finally, attractive behavior is something that I believe is often overlooked when it comes to personal style. Being well-groomed and having good posture are important, but so is behaving in a way that is attractive to others. This means being respectful, kind, but strong.
It is attractive when men are able to be in control of their emotions but not back down from a scenario, they feel is unjust. In a world where confrontation is heavily discouraged, men often feel that its easier or more logical to let go and let people have their way. In reality, it is not our job to enable adults to remain children so being able to say no in uncomfortable situations, is a sign of fortitude.
In conclusion, personal style is not just about clothes and accessories. It's a combination of several factors, including physical fitness, personal hygiene, and attractive behavior. By focusing on these areas of my life, I've been able to develop a personal style that reflects who I am and what I stand for. That's something that makes me feel confident and successful in all areas of my life.
